| Description | Dolorian, formed in Oulu, Finland in 1997, became a cult name in blackened doom with three albums released between 1999 and 2006, plus a split with Shining in 2003. Their debut When All The Laughter Has Gone (1999), recorded at Tico-Tico Studios, showcased the trio’s hypnotic and sombre soundscapes, blending oppressive guitars, sparse melodies, and ethereal synths to create an atmosphere of dread and despair. Though disbanded in the mid-2000s, the album remains a cornerstone of the genre, with vocalist Antti Haapapuro continuing in the dark project Unfyros. |
