| Description | Reissue. Anathema, formed in Liverpool in 1990, evolved from doom/death metal into a more melodic, progressive style influenced by Pink Floyd and Radiohead. A key part of the early ''90s Peaceville doom metal scene, their influential early work includes Pentecost III (1995), recorded at Academy Studios. The album features heavy, hypnotic doom metal and a new version of "Memento Mori" from an earlier demo.
