Description | EXTRAORDINARY TRIPLE DISC SET FEATURING DEPECHE IN CONCERT ACROSS THEIR CAREER Depeche Mode have had 54 songs in the UK Singles Chart and 17 Top 10 albums in the UK chart; they have sold more than 100 million records worldwide. Q magazine included the band in its list of the "50 Bands That Changed the World". In December 2016, Billboard named Depeche Mode the 10th Greatest of All Time Top Dance Club Artists. They were nominated for induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2017 and 2018, and were inducted as part of the Class of 2020. This new 3CD set celebrates the longevity and musical excellence of Depeche Mode as it brings together three of the band''s best live recordings made across their career, all for radio broadcast at the time. DISC ONE here features Depeche''s acclaimed show from St. Jakobshalle, Basel, Switzerland, recorded on 30th November 1984, shortly after the release of their Music for the Masses album. DISC TWO contains the stunning set the band played at Crystal Palace National Sports Centre, in South-East London, on 31st July 1993, while on their Devotional Tour to promote the Songs of Faith and Devotion record. Concluding this set, DISC THREE finds the group in Nürburgring, Nürburg, Germany, on 4th June 2006, for a majestic concert that often features in fans'' favourite ever Depeche Mode gigs. |
