Description | Salt Lake City-based heavy rock duo Eagle Twins'' sophomore lp is finally upon us! Once again, they have created a true masterpiece that will devastate forward-thinking riff-seekers everywhere! -Highly anticipated follow-up to 2009s critically acclaimed The Unkindness of Crows (LORD196). Eagle Twin will be appearing at the Power of the Riff Fest in Los Angeles, 8/14/2012, as well as touring the US with Gaza. For fiends of Melvins, sunn O))), Earth and all things ridiculously heavy. - Beautifully packaged in a digi-pac. Entitled, The Feather Tipped the Serpent''s Scale, the new Eagle Twin opus picks up right where the band''s acclaimed debut LP, The Unkindness of Crows, left off. In this installment, the crows documented in the first album have battled the sun and were burned back down to earth as black snakes, the concept of the album continuing mainly on the snake and it''s various mythic and symbolic incarnations. Ultimately, the great ancestral snake is transformed from its lowly beginnings back into a bird soaring upon the thermals. Recorded with Randall Dunn at London Bridge Studio (as with the first album), the record boasts some of the most mesmerizing and monstrous riff transformations from Eagle Twin to date. |
