Description | David Crosby was arrested twice during the 1980s for various substance abuses, driving offences and possession of firearms, which resulted in substantial jail time. However, he emerged rejuvenated by the time of his release, and performed alongside his CSNY cohorts at Live Aid in Philadelphia on 13th July 1985. Although now not working regularly, he was more active than he had been in years, and reunited with Nash and a small band for a short U.S. tour in 1986. The recording featured on this CD is taken from an FM radio broadcast of the duo''s final date of this tour, performed at the Valley Forge Music Fair on 4th December 1986. The pair play a broad selection of live favourites from their solo and duet albums, as well as from the CSNY catalogue. With such greats as ''Wooden Ships'', ''Teach Your Children, ''Military Madness'' and ''Almost Cut My Hair'' included, and with a generous helping of humorous banter between the songs, the warm sense of companionship emanated by Crosby & Nash at this show makes for a truly wonderful performance, available here for the first time on CD. |
