| Description | OLD MAN GLOOM is one of the most inventive, unique, influential and legendary bands within the hardcore/post-metal/experimental noise and sludge scenes respectively. One of the biggest cult bands in heavy music within the last 15 years. OLD MAN GLOOM amongst its ranks features Aaron Turner (ISIS/MAMIFFER), Nate Newtown (CONVERGE/DOOMRIDERS), Caleb Scofield (CAVE IN), and Santos Montano who initially founded the group with Aaron Turner in the late ''90s. After a period of inactivity, where the members were busy focusing on their other main bands (the above mentioned), OLD MAN GLOOM secretly got back together and came out of nowhere with their "NO" album a few years ago without any announcement whatsoever. It became one of the most anticipated returns in heavy music and a much needed return to the scene to show all the pretenders on how it''s supposed to be done. "The Ape Of God" was once again recorded and mixed by longtime OLD MAN GLOOM collaborator Kurt Ballou of CONVERGE in his God City Studios."The Ape Of God" will be recognized as some of the best OLD MAN GLOOM material amongst their illustrious career. |
