Reissue. Peppi Marchello, founder of the cult hard rock/AOR band The Good Rats, gained a strong regional following but never achieved national fame. After the band disbanded in 1984, he began a solo project that soon evolved into a collaboration with his son Gene, an emerging guitarist. Initially named Popzarocca, the project shifted focus when CBS Records suggested Peppi step back into a songwriter/producer role, promoting Gene as the band''s frontman.
