Description CLASSIC BROADCAST RECORDING FROM THE FIRST LINE UP AFTER TERRY KATH''S SAD PASSING. Following the tragic passing in 1978 of Chicago''s original singer and guitarist Terry Kath, the band found themselves at a crossroads. Understandably devastated by events, they considered breaking up, but when the shock and grief waned a little, and following encouragement to do so by Kath''s family, the group decided to continue. After auditioning some 30 musicians the group settled on Donnie Dacus as Terry''s replacement. Dacus officially joined Chicago in April 1978, and his first album with the band was October 78''s Hot Streets. Lead single ''Alive Again'' - a tribute to Kath - reached No. 14 on the Billboard charts. In support of the album, Chicago played a modest 20-date tour of the U.S. in the latter half of 1978, and in so doing proved that they were still very much a musical force to be reckoned with. One show on the tour, which took place at the famous Greek Theatre in Los Angeles on 11th August, was broadcast via FM radio across the US, and is now featured in full on this superb live CD for the first time.
