| Description | For two such different voices to approach each other in a joint commissioned work is challenging and daring. Jenny Hval and Susanna accepted the challenge and composed lyrics and music in an exchange process. They performed the work for Ladyfest on March 8, 2009 at Henie Onstad Kunstsenter. The collaboration was an exploration of both melodic and noise-based material. A palette of instruments such as grand piano, guitar, electric drum organ, various effects and electronics, prepared piano and percussion, mixed with a network of voices, resulted in an alternately sparse delicate and massive sound image. |
