| Description | Swedish singer/songwriter Sulo Karlsson (Diamond Dogs, The Crunch etc) met legendary UK guitarist Chris Spedding during the recording of the country duet album "Sulo''s Brilliant Outsiders". They decided make music together and formed The Piggyback Riders with female Swedish pop singer Idde Schultz. Chris Spedding is well known for his guitar work since the late 60''s, being one of the most respected session players in England. During his career he played with artists such as Bryan Ferry, Paul McCartney, Pete Townsend, Brian Eno, John Cale, Frankie Miller etc. The sound of The Piggyback Riders is built around Chris Speddings'' tasteful guitar playing and the harmony vocals of Sulo and Idde. It''s Americana at its very finest, gently colored by soul, gospel and British pub rock. |
