| Description | Declaration of War, Back in the nineties I was wholly engaged both torturing me and journeying my darkest recesses of being in the studio with Abruptum, and creating poetic , metaphorical dreamscapes taking place under the vast skies of Ophthalamia. Whereas Abruptum utterly consumed and drained my energies both physically and psychologically, Ophthalamia was my therapeutic healing spring nourishing me; but I lacked a more direct channel somewhere in between these two, where an immense void had been manifested. What was required was a sort of an outlet for the rather primal, vile energies sometimes ominously surfacing to devour me. Left & forgotten covered by the dust of years past I rediscovered Moloch; a mission started up more than two decades ago by me and All. After a sudden impact of realization in making some use of the basic ideas that we had developed for this project, this was what metamorphosed into the expression of that which became Vondur. I developed the idea into some fairly material essence and recorded a three track Demo with including left-over substance from the Moloch/Abhor days. The planned for Hebrew lyrics were replaced with Icelandic and the name altered to suite better with the character of the venture. The rest can be read on the record itself... (IT SÄRKÄ) |
