| Description | In early 1985, ex-Dead Or Alive guitarist Wayne Hussey joined The Sisters of Mercy, contributing 12-string guitars and songwriting to their debut album First and Last and Always, released on March 11, 1985. Shortly after, guitarist Gary Marx left the band mid-tour due to conflicts with frontman Andrew Eldritch. The band completed the tour as a trio, playing their final show at London''s Royal Albert Hall on June 18. A standout performance took place in Oslo on May 16, later broadcast live across Scandinavia. Weeks before, the band also appeared on the BBC''s Old Grey Whistle Test. |
