| Description | ROOT was founded by vocalist Big Boss, also founder of the Church of Satan in Czechoslovakia, and guitarist Blackie at the end of ’87. The band recorded several demos in the late 80’s and in 1990 the band debuted their first full length album, Zjevení, also known as The Revelation in English speaking parts of the world. In the subsequent couple of years two more full-lengths entitled Hell Symphony and The Temple in the Underworld followed. These recordings of highly distinctive black metal influenced by early pioneers of the genre were contributory to the advancement of the Czech black metal movement and should today be seen as esteemed classics in the field of dark, satanic music. |
